Windows 10: Is it worth switching out of Windows 10 Home S Mode for Dropbox?

I use Dropbox for work (I work from home as a writer). I have a laptop (W10 Home S Mode) and desktop (no longer in S Mode - someone else’s doing) and my iPhone & iPad which I work from.

I like to save my current files to my Dropbox while writing and be able to close out and open on another device and just continue from where I left off. I recently got my laptop and it’s the only device in S Mode, unable to save files to Dropbox.

However, as a stay at home mom, I’ve found myself using my laptop much more often for work.

Is it worth the risk to turn S Mode off for only Dropbox? I don’t do much else on it.

Deleting Dropbox

Hello Donna,

As you are issue is concerned to deleting the Dropbox, we will help you with this issue.

• Do let us know the complete error message/ error code of this issue?
• Are you referring to Dropbox icon/ application on Windows 10?

If you are referring to Dropbox app on your device, try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: If the Dropbox is preloaded on your desktop:

• Click Start.
• Click Settings.
• Click System.
• Click Apps & features.
• Select Get Dropbox or Dropbox X GB from the application list, where "X" is the amount of space corresponding to your promotion.
• Click Uninstall.

Step 2: If the Dropbox is a desktop app follow:

• Press Windows + X, click on Control Panel.
• Under Programs, select Uninstall a program.
• Select Dropboxfrom the list of programs, and click Uninstall.

Airplane mode switch not working

Since the troubleshooting steps that were provided did not resolve the issue, we suggest switching on the Radio Management Service. To do that, please follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R.
• Type services.msc, then hit Enter.
• Search for Radio Management Service.
  
• Right-click, then choose Start.

Note: Never ever set this service to "Disabled".

Get back to us if the steps won't work.
