  3. Windows 10 update (KB3081438) and (KB3081436)

KB3081440 and KB3081441 installed, which allowed KB3081438 to install. Don't know what they changed on the KB3081440/1441 updates, I had previously tried to manually install them from the standalone Microsoft Update Catalog, & they did not work. This morning
they pushed them thru the Auto Update service.

If you didn't get these updates KB3081440 and KB3081441 then it will be difficult to updates KB3081438.

    Good Luck.

I don't have it either and it's not offered. Looks like it's a replacement for an earlier update which caused reboot problems during the Upgrade install. I wasn't bothered by the problem in the 6 Upgrades I got accomplished.

    Is KB3081440 released?

That was posted by a mod on the Microsoft site a week ago. They have not issued this update via Windows Update, nor have they even mentioned doing so. They haven't even mentioned the cumulative update problems at all.

Is this the "new Microsoft?" Seems a lot like the old one. Forced updates are quite worthless when they have no information for customers whatsoever on how to remedy problems that are not the fault of the user.
