Is manually switching letters on the Chinese language keyboard in Windows 10 possible? Or...

    Hello,

I have a German keyboard on wich the letters Z and Y are switched, and when I switch to typing Chinese, I need to type Z to get a Y and vice versa, which is very annoying. Apparently, the Chinese keyboard layout on Windows 10 does not know that I have a laptop bought in Germany with a German keyboard.

Is there some way I can manually switch the letters on the Chinese keyboard in Windows 10? Or solve the problem in another way?

    Thank you!

    :)

How to turn on On-screen Chinese Keyboard in Window 10?

I recently upgrade to Window 10 from Window 8.1.

In Window 8.1 environment, I was able to toggle to Chinese language and write my letter in Chinese letter using on-screen Chinese keyboard (Microsoft Bopomofo Input Method Editor).

In Window 10 environment, after I toggle to Chinese language, the language menu now provided an option: IME Pad - Hand Writing (CH).

I was able to find the keyboard setting via the "properties", but I could not find a way to bring up the on-screen Chinese keyboard.

I also did the following steps:

    1. Setting -> Ease of Access -> Keyboard -> Turn on on-screen Keyboard

I can see the "English" on-screen Keyboard display

    2. Then I toggle to input Chinese language, unfortunately 8 keys on the right hand side switch to Chinese character, the main keyboard is still display in English.

Q: What do I need to do to have On-screen Chinese keyboard working?

Traditional Chinese pinyin keyboard in window 10

How to HanYuPinYin to input Traditional Chinese in Windows 10?

step 1: In Windows 10 , go to "settings"; "Time &" Language"; "Region & Language"; "Add a language"; "Chinese (Simplied)".

please note: the (Simplified) includes the Traditional words.

Step 2: under the "Language", select "中文(中华人民共和国)“;”Options“; ”Keyboards“;select ”Microsoft Pinyin“;”options“。

Step 3:under ”Microsoft PinYin“, select”Character sets”, choose A character sets from (simplified Chinese) to (Traditional Chinese). The job is done!

Please note: Although you can use this method to input hanyupinyin and get the traditional Chinese characters, but if you need to switch to Simplified Chinese, you have to go to the step 3 again and change the Character Set from Traditional Chinese to the
Simplified Chinese. I hope Microsoft or its developers can add some patch to fix it so that in the future, users can easily switch language from English or Chinese Traditional or Chinese Simplified modes.

Some other people suggested to use HongKong Traditional Chinese and bopomofo keyboard, but you can not select the candidite font (同音字)。I think Microsoft engineer may fix this bug in the future.
