Hi, I plan to try Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter on my office TV, is Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter support Windows 11 laptop? Problem with Microsoft 4K wireless display adapter!

Widows 11 Laptop and TV works fine via HDMI cable. Tested using a (new) Microsoft 4K wireless display adapter with them very close together and established a stable connection. The sound (and the mouse location) casts to the TV fine, but the image (still or moving) for only for a few seconds and then it freezes on the TV. Will restart periodically (linked to a change in the image?) and then freeze again.

Suggestions?

 

4K wireless display adapter not displaying right resolution

The 4k wireless display adapter is not displaying the resolution of 1920x1200 and is only displaying up to 1920x1080. If the same monitor is connected to through HDMI straight, the correct resolution is displayed. I checked the firmware and it says that it is the latest version. The monitor was bought within 4 months and thus is one of the latest models. I am using Windows 11 Pro 21H2.

Additionally, base on my personal experience, you can try to check the settings of Windows Defender:

App & browser control > Exploit protection > Exploit protection settings > Control flow guard (CFG) > Set it to Off by default > As shown below:
