Microsoft Money 2004 not working with Win10

Dear Sir: Again, requesting attention to the disablement of MS Money 2004 as per the details on this thread.

At this point would you please confirm Microsoft has abandoned these users and utility of Money 2004 as Windows 10 can no longer address the technical requirements of Money 2004?

If Microsoft has abandoned these users opting to ignore repeated requests perhaps you would confirm this. If so, no further requests will be made as the matter is closed from Microsoft's lack of response. (This seems the case.)

I had hoped to recover my data and move on to another accounting software if in fact Microsoft no longer intends to respond to these requests.

Again, the Windows 10 experience has been a favorable one but it seems only fair to confirm no attention or support will be available here. This is disappointing as so many requests have been ignored to this point.

Thanks for providing the opportunity to ask for assistance however and thanks to the community who have generously offered their insights.

That would be nice but not a big deal or deal breaker.. for me at least.

 

Yes It would be real nice instead of having to open a separate explorer to compare or move files just open a new tab. No it is not a deal breaker for me either. Or M$ is planning to strip out Explorer and put in an APP all APPs that I have seen have not been as rich as the desktop Applications they have replaced.

 

And there are third party tools so that should make up for that "issue".

 

Lets hope the third party stuff can stay compatible with W10.

I spend a lot of time in File Explorer and separate File Explorer windows (and ALT TAB) works perfectly fine, so I don't really get why it's such a popular request? I certainly don't get why it would be a priority item, when I've seen more important suggestions on UserVoice? Is it tablet users who need this feature maybe?

Anyway, is it possible the traditional File Explorer is being replaced with something else altogether?

 

I've been wanting tabs on explorer for years.

Just because it's not coming in the RTM doesn't mean Microsoft is ignoring it... There are probably a million features they'd like to have in there, but they only have so many resources.

If it's that important, it will probably come in a feature update sometime after RTM.

Who needs a tabbed File Explorer?
I've got 7Zip!!! and it can be Themed too! 7-Zip Theme Manager 2.1

 

I would settle for dual panes so moving files about could be oh so much easier:

 

In W7, whenever I want to do more than basic file management I use FreeCommander.
It has tabs, dual panes, mass rename tool and a bunch of other useful features.
