Windows 10: Is Microsoft storage and local disk storage different?

I recently purchased the Microsoft 365 Basic subscription that allows me to have 1 TB of storage, yet my local disk is still full. Are these not the same types of storage, how do I get more room for installing apps without having to delete current games or files.

Local Disk Storage is Decreasing

My Local Disk "C" Storage is decreasing EVERYDAY. I even want to add My Local Disk F space to Local Disk C but if I do that and this problem continues, then I need to separate the disk space again. Yesterday it was 77.7 GB free of 172 GB and today it's 76.4 GB free of 172 GB it's happening everyday.

I'm doing Disk Cleanup and maintaining the space. On the first day of Disk Cleanup it showed 6GB to clean and the next day, following it's subsequent days its showing 300 MB to clean in the Disk. Is there a solution?

Can you confirm you tried the following steps before running the DISM command?

• Right-click on a JPG file and choose Properties.
  
• Click "Change"
  
• Select "Microsoft WinRT Storage API" from the list.
  

If so, the association didn't take effect. We'll have to try a different approach.
