Windows 10: Is microsoft working on a fix for the failed cum update kb5031356.

Is microsoft working on a fix for the failed cum update kb5031356. Still will not update after 6 tries yet so far the other updates are working on my HP Pavillion win10 22H2 desktop, which is not compatible with win 11

Update Failed

,,,and the update still failed. The fix suggested did not work. KB5031356 - Error 0x800f0922

Any further suggestions appreciated.

THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN:

Realtek PCI GbE Family Controller network adapter not working after Microsoft Windows security update KB5031356.

Updating the driver does not help. But after uninstalling this Microsoft Windows security update KB5031356 - the network adapter works fine again.

Please try uninstalling the recent October KB5031356 update if it helps.

Open Settings > Update and Security > View update history > Uninstall updates

Find the recent October KB5031356 update in the list then click Uninstall

If this fixes the issue, please try to Pause updates for 1 week

You can also use the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the problematic update. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try to hide KB5031356 update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.
