Is my GPU, PSU or something else entirely the issue with black screen crashes?

I currently face the issue of my pc crashing with a black screen and fully shutting down straight away. This consistently happens when I play certain games on my pc such as Fortnite and there is seemingly nothing of importance sparking these crashes. I have updated all of my graphics drivers but this has not solved any of my issues. 2. Can minidump files detect a psu problem?

I was told previously that mine read a faulty gpu. But multiple other forums also suggest a faulty psu could also be the culprit of my black screening and crashes.

  3. Issue with black screen, dual display, ATI Integrated GPU

    Hi,

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to go to device manager and disable the display drivers, check whether the issue persists or not.

    • Press Windows + X keys and click
      Device manager.
    • Click to expand Display adapters, right click the second adapter and click
      Disable.
    • Restart the computer and check whether the issue persists or not.
    • Repeat the same steps to disable the first display adapter and check if it helps.

If you find the issue is with anyone of the display adapters then, I suggest you to update the display drivers from the manufactures website for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps form the below article for
“Black Screen” issues and check if it helps.

  4. Is my GPU, PSU or something else entirely the issue with black screen crashes?

Hard crashes with ANY heavy load

Out of the blue, my computer has been crashing upon heavy loads. For example, playing a game. I can load into the menu fine, but when it finishes loading the game, either the game will crash or my computer will black screen and restart. Specs and what I have tried already are as follows:

    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
    • RAM: 32GB Corsair DDR4-3200MHz
    • MOBO: ASUS X470 Prime Pro
    • GPU: ZOTAC GTX-1070
    • PSU: Corsair CX450
    What I have tried:

    • Updated drivers for CPU, GPU and MOBO BIOS updated
    • reinstall GPU drivers via NVIDIA software utilities
    • unplugged and reconnected all PSU connections, reseated GPU
I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions you have to fix my issues are greatly appreciated.
