I got a seagate 1 terabyte desktop sshd that i have been using in my computer for storing music and movies. But after swapping my motherboard to asus h81m-k, my computer no longer registers it. Is faulty?

    Best gaming harddrive Sugestion ???

Seagate states on their 750gb,32mb cache harddrive that the best application is video surveillance.(liquor stores, how very sad and completly overpriced for the amount of problems they have).Yet Passmark lists this near the top of their harddrive page.Any one have a suggestion for something that will last.(maybe samsung???)
Also I was considering a Raidmax hybrid 2 sli 630w powersupply.Any thoughts on Raidmax??

    Is my harddrive faulty?

    Faulty harddrives

    Hi,

I've had my pc for about 3years now and it's been working perfectly fine with no issues. I upgraded to Windows 10 sometime near the middle to end of last year. Haven't had any issues at all, until now.

I have 2 internal harddrives, both are 1TB, the one is a WD 10EADS and the other one a Seagate. My 1 harddrive is partitioned with windows installed on it, the other one has all my random bits and pieces. Now the problem is :

I spotted that my 1 drive stopped showing up in windows explorer, I did a few restarts and also told windows to check for updates. didn't help. Also ran CCleaner, Malware bytes and Windows defender multiple times with no issues found.

So I went on the forums and read up a bit, I tried -

    1. Checking Disk management, only 1 drive shows, right click and pulled up properties and it's properties for the WD

    2. Check Device manager, only the WD shows under disk drives

2.a. Right clicked on WD and uninstalled

    3. tried different cables on both drives in different SATA slots

In between all the above I restarted my pc.

But still only the 1 drive is showing... now for more confusion. I unplugged the Seagate and tried starting up with just the WD but got the 'no operating system found' error. So I tried starting up with just the Seagate plugged in and got the 'insert boot
device' error. I checked in the BIOS that my boot priority has hard drive as the first one.

When I have both harddrives plugged in windows starts up, but I can only see the 1 hard drive in explorer, Disk Manager and Device manager.

I can hear and feel them both whizzing away like they normally do. my games and programs works perfectly fine I just can't access files that I used to be able to access when both where visible. I have no idea what to do next and can't find any relating forums,
please if anyone have any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.
