Windows 10: Is my SSD dying??

I have a 500 GB samsung ssd and for some reason i can only download only 90+ gb of files before my disk usage spikes up to 100% and after a few seconds that it does that, i get a blue screen which you cant fix without reinstalling windows, im getting real tired of this **** because this is like, i dont know the 27th time ive reinstalled windows because of it? There doesnt seem to be any bad sectors and tried searching on the internet if i can get an answer but nothing helped, does anyone know the fix to this? Also i forgot to mention that the first time i installed this ssd into my laptop it w

I want to migrate the Windows OS on my HD to my SSD - HD is dying

Hello all,

My HD is dying and my OS is on the HD, how can I migrate the Windows OS to my SSD.

I can't find the Product Key because it is on me Microsoft account.

Can any give me an idea of the steps to resolve this problem

I have a new HD which I will replace and use data storage, I believe I have to change the boot up in the BIOS settings.

Ssd dying?

Could it be possible to tell if a ssd is dying or not? Today my computer randomly went bsod and then when I tried to boot up or went into bios I didn't see my ssd at all. I had to completely power it off and then turn it on before it booted into my ssd.

When an SSD is dying it should reduce in memory availability as the cells become unavailable for write and later read, so the available space should slowly shrink. You could have a faulty controller causing issues, but that is extremely rare.

What SSD are you using, and if you know what firmware is on it? I know some sandforce based SSDs had issues with bluescreens and vanishing from systems as the firmware was too aggressive in power save mode so the PC thought the drive was disconnected. There should be a new version of the firmware out for all sandforce based SSDs to fix the issue if that is indeed the case.
