Windows 10: Is my windows license or key legal? Is it safe to continue using?

I have a question about Windows 10 Pro licenses or key. When checking in Settings : it says it has been activated with a digital license. When checking in Windows script host : it says retail and has a key ending in 3V66T. What I know is that the key ending in 3V66T is the public key I'm not very clear about this one. I feel like they are quite contradictory as the setting says it is activated with a digital license but has partial product key: 3V66T and Windows script host says retail. Hi, I've never purchased Windows from Microsoft however it is showing that I have a digital license key. N.B this laptop came pre-installed with windows but later on the drive was replaced where the pre-installed windows 10 was originally stored in. Later on when I installed windows here with a USB it never asked me for a license key, I'm also signing in from a different miscrosoft account from the first one. Is this activated windows legal?

k so the place where i work is around 4000 computers now and we r finally talking about moving to XP. i have a bit of a licensing issue that im curious on. all of the computers we purchase come with a windows xp OEM key. but to build a business wide image i have to use a volume license key installer. the head man thinks it is perfectly legal for me to come up with any random volume license key code to use on our image installer since each machine has a lisence stuck to it already. even though thouse licenses are for an oem install... for now im going to assume all the licenses on computers are actually for xp pro also, and not home, becuz then it would for sure not be legal.

im just kinda curious of peeples views becuz i know how stict the uela is. and for 1 or 2 computers i wouldnt care but where im setting up 4000 computers for a government agency i would like to not hav the licensing fall back on me.

Hence the reason I said MS licensing makes everyone a criminal.

Based on the Dreamspark license, *ONLY* a COA computer with Windows Vista or older would anyone install these legally (as a COA Windows 7, 8, 8.1 can just upgrade to 10 for now).

Basically, they have created a website that is worthless for anyone who reads and actually follows license rules.
