Windows 10: is popop in bottom right corner always a notification?

I cannot seem to stop the McAfee advertisement that shows up where notifications generally go. My subscription is paid for and 4 months remain on the 3 years. I have been to McAfee forum and tried a number of things but i cannot stop it.


If I click on the win10 notification icon, a list of notifications show up but mcafee is not one of them. Clicking on clear removes the notifications but not the mcafee. I cannot move McAfee's popup. It is not attached to edge, chrome, etc. It is just stuck at bottom right. I can close it or click to see what the offer is.


I entered "notifications" in the search bar and looked through all the apps listed. McAfee is not one of them. However, I do see "Get notifications from apps and other senders" and I can select off. Since McAfee is not listed, if I select off, then all apps are disabled, not just "others" like McAfee. I did not see a Dell notification app. I had thought that Dell was allowing McAfee to post. I did see a strange "tie.static.pub.247-inc.net via Microsoft Edge" and I disabled that but that dis not cause the McAfee popup. The popup is not an alert or virus warning, it is an advertisement and it is always in front of all other windows. I do not plan on renewing McAfee after it expires if I cant get rid of this.

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

It is by design that the notifications received will be displayed on the bottom right corner of the screen.



You cannot change the settings of the notification but you can disable it by following the steps below:

• Open Settings by pressing Start key on the keyboard, type
  Settings and select the top most search result.
• Select System from the window and click on Notifications & Actions from the left side panel of the window.
• Under Notifications, slide the bar to Off status for those you wish to disable.

And the hotfix too, 10.12a over it as well?
sorry you may did but i no idea, so step by step.

And just make it clear;
your lag is the mouse arow in the corner/
if yes;
do you use samthing on sidebar?
if yes try to switch off and see...
