I think I have a virus or malware involving powershell. When I startup my PC my monitor always displays 3 windows of DOS running powershell for a few seconds then disappears. Afterwards, I like to play games and surf the web on my PC so sometimes during those times it comes up again for 1-2 seconds then goes away but whats annoying about it is that it minimizes what I am doing everytime, I did help with this a little by putting full screen borderless in my games but it is still annoying. I tried searching online for viruses relating to Powershell but I basically got nothing. Anyone know whats

PowerShell instead of Commandline in Creators Update

Interestingly enough my personal laptop just got the update...and still has Command Prompt listed, not PowerShell...

Edit: Not that it matters...I use both regularly. *Toast :toast:

    Windows powershell randomly popping up.

    Hi Fabian,

Scheduled tasks that use Powershell can cause the Powershell window to appear periodically on your computer. We suggest that you check the Task Scheduler.

    • Click on Start.
    • In the search bar, type Task Scheduler and click on
      Task Scheduler
      in the results.
    • Under Active Tasks, check for any tasks that use Powershell and the scheduled time.

Malware can also cause this issue. We suggest that you use Windows Defender or a third-party security software to scan your system.

Keep us updated with the results.

    • What kind of Powershell command did you run on your PC?

    • What are the functions on your PC that has stopped working?

    • Were there any error messages?

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
