Is running vm-unsupported app on hyper-v matter?

I'd like to run some apps which is not supporting hyper-v, vm on hyper-v. I wanna know is it matter.I assume virtualized environment is exaxtly same as the host machine thoughEspecially as far as I know, hyper-v does support hypervisor which means no over-head?But I've seen some apps for enterprises like abbyy finereader claiming that they're perfectly compatible with virtual environment, that makes me bit concerning

Not able to connect to Ubuntu VM instance running in Hyper-V on Windows 11

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Advisor, and I'll do my best to help you.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the Hyper-V authorization policies on your computer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check your Hyper-V authorization policies: Open the Local Group Policy Editor by pressing Win+R on your keyboard, typing "gpedit.msc", and pressing Enter. Navigate to "Computer Configuration" -> "Windows Components" -> "Hyper-V". Check if the policies "Hyper-V Administrators" and "Hyper-V Service" are configured correctly.

Make sure you have the necessary permissions: Ensure that you are logged in as an administrator account or a user with Hyper-V administrator privileges.

Restart the Hyper-V service: Open the Services window by pressing Win+R on your keyboard, typing "services.msc", and pressing Enter. Find the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service, right-click it, and select "Restart".

Check the VM's configuration: Make sure that the VM is still properly configured in Hyper-V Manager, and that it hasn't been accidentally deleted or removed from the list of VMs.

Reinstall Hyper-V: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reinstall Hyper-V. You can do this by going to "Turn Windows features on or off" in the Control Panel, unchecking the box next to Hyper-V, restarting your computer, and then checking the box again and restarting again.

If none of these steps work, you may need to contact your IT administrator or seek further assistance from Microsoft support.

  3. Hyper-V Switch Impacting Internet Even When VM Is Not Running

I'm running VMs for class on Windows 10 Pro using Hyper-V.

While the VM is running it doesn't matter whether I can browse the internet on the regular machine as long as the VM can do it.

However, when I turn the VM off entirely and shut down Hyper-V, my wifi continues to be impacted by the switch. The other day it shut down my wireless adapter entirely saying that the virtual switch was not configured correctly. I opened Hyper-V and deleted
the switch and now the computer works fine.

I still need the switch though, for any further labs I have for class.

    My questions are:

    1. Why does the virtual switch continue to run when the VM and Hyper-V are both closed?

    2. Do I need to make a virtual switch every time I run a VM and then delete it afterward so it has no impact on my personal wifi?

    3. If I were to make a separate local account on my computer, will the virtual switch on that account affect the wifi adapter on all of my local accounts?
