SDHC memory card adapter faulty?

Hi



I have a Kingston 8gb class 4 MicroSDHC card which is recognised in my E63 as having 7500mb free so the card isn't corrupt. If I plug the card into the supplied Kingston MICROSD adapter, then into an Intergral USB SDHC reader it is not recognised by the
computer. If I click on Drive E: windows says "please insert disk into drive E:" The Intergral USB SDHC reader works fine with a straight SD card.



The Kingston Micro SD adapter says "MICRO SD" on it... it doesn't say "MICRO SDHC". Is the Kingston adapter the problem as it doesn't say SDHC on it??

SD card/SD card reader no longer working

Bradleyb, in your Device Manager do you have anything listed in Storage Controllers? I get an entry for MMC/SD. I just checked a 1GB SD card and a 4GB SDHC card, both worked in File Explorer to show their contents.




Side note: A caveat for such cards is that if they are to be used in a camera they need to be formatted in the camera, not in Windows.

Your troubleshooter diagnoses did not help. I could not find a driver related to SDHC card reader in the Device Manager. I have tried everything suggested and I give up. I hope Microsoft will fix the problem with the card reader in Windows 10. Maybe a
class action law suit might help them to fix this problem.
