    Distorted Sound

    Hi Zaki,

    Distorted sound can be be produces if there is an issue with the hardware or software. Please answer the following questions for us to narrow down this concern:

    • Is it affecting all music, videos, and online videos?
    • Which sound card is set to default? Realtek High Definition Audio or High Definition Audio Device? You will know it by typing
      "sound" on the search box and select Sound, under Playback, the default speaker should have a check.

    Please run Playing Audio Troubleshooter by following these steps:

    • Type "troubleshooting" on the search box.
    • Select Troubleshooting on the result.
    • Click View all.
    • Choose Playing Audio and follow the steps.

    MUSIC VIDEOS

    **OK;

    Now with this LATEST MS UPDATE, which just about kept my computer for more than 1 day, (download, install, over and over), now when I try to go on to ANY music videos, the color is DISTORTED. I looked at some music videos about 1 wk ago, and was fine; now,
    the latest MS update occurring 4 and 5 OCT, really DISTORTED the colors.

    ANY SUGGESTION, or CAN YOU REPORTED IT TO MS so it can be corrected.

    HOW do I get the colors back to its original setting so its not DISTORTED.

    APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.

    DISTORTED MUSIC?

    WHILE LISTENING TO MUSIC ON WM6.1 MEDIA PLAYER ON MY PHONE, SOME OF THE MUSIC GETS VERY DISTORTED DURING THE LOUD PARTS. EVEN WITH VERY LOW VOLUME LEVELS, THE DISTORTION STILL IS THE SAME SO I AM NOT OVERDRIVING THE AMP IN THE PHONE . I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL
    DIFFERENT FORMATS .WAM .MP3 AND INCREASING THE QUALITY AND IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. IS THERE A WAY TO DECREASE THE VOLUME OF THE MUSIC DURING THE RIPPING PROCESS? I HAVE NOT FOUND THIS OPTION IN MEDIA PLAYER WITHIN VISTA.
