Windows 10: Is the *NEW* Windows Photos App seriously manual organization only??

It's two years on and it's still just windows explorer without the ability to view details... So before I delete this bulk photo viewer that's mixed every photo on my PC into one giant "All Photos" container, with no way to organize, tag or otherwise sort anything short of what I could already do in Win98 windows explorer, how do you tag people by face?? or search with every picture that has a dog?? or car?? or features the sky??Has AI already been limited to only existing SEO results?? Is microsoft about to end support for all photos and that's why they removed all the organization features a

How to create new album and organize photos in Photos app

• Where exactly are you trying to create new albums?
• Are you referring to creating new albums in Photos app?
• Are you using any other application to view the photos?

WINDOWS 10 MICROSOFT PHOTO APP

Hello,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

The Photos app brings together pictures from all your devices using OneDrive, so that you can browse them by date, album or folder. It also automatically enhances photos, and creates albums for you, to showcase your best shots.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to change the Default apps in the setting app and verify the result. You may follow the steps in the below:

• Go to settings and system.
  
• Click on Default Apps and select the appropriately.
  

Method 2:

I suggest you to reinstall Photo app using the PowerShell command
and reinstall using the Windows store. Follow the below steps.

• Open the　Start　menu, type　Windows PowerShell　in the search bar.
  
• Right click on the　Windows　PowerShell　and select　Run as　administrator.
  
• Enter the below command to uninstall the Photo app.
  

• 　　get-appxpackage　　*Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

why does the photos app pickup face book pictures?

Hi Dale,

Photos app only serves as a viewer for your Photos on your Facebook account. It will only save on your computer if you download it manually. To address your concern about deleting photos, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open the Photos app.
• Select the photos you wish to delete by clicking the checkbox on the photo.
• Click the Delete icon at the top right corner of the window.
