Windows 10: Is the secure startup messing up my computer?

Long story short, i wanted to play valorant but it told me i can't play unless i have the secure startup activated in the BIOS, so i did, but now the computer is kind of not functioning properly, it feels slow while using the browser even at this moment writing this technical problem. More confusing is that is not recognizing any audio or microphone input or output. I'm hella confused, thanks for reading any idea? I want to have the secure startup activated and also be able to ear things! [if i disable the secure startup everything goes back to normal, but i won't be able to play my game haha

Opening the Startup Menu during system startup on computers

Follow these steps to open the Startup menu when the computer is powered off.

1. Turn on the computer.
2. Immediately press the Escape key repeatedly, about once every second, until the Startup Menu opens.

Why has Windows 10 slowed my computer so much?

If you upgraded to Win10 with MBAM installed, it's very possible that the OS upgrade messed up something with MBAM.
(It was/is M$ "best practices" to temporarily uninstall your AV, AM and other security programs before upgrading to Win10, to minimize the chance of such corruption.)

Either way, for starters, I suggest a proper, clean MBAM reinstall.
I suggest carefully following ALL of the steps here: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x.
Pointers:

• Please be sure you have your license info handy before you start
• Please be sure to deactivate your account before you uninstall (dashboard > "my account" > "deactivate")
• Please be sure to reboot when prompted by the removal tool
• It's a good idea to reboot again after the reinstall
