is the update change the time zone to be cairo GMT+3 or just change the time ,as i found the update change the time with out changing the time zone

Russian Time Zones is not updated (now MSK time is GMT+3 not GMT+4)

Have 3 lumias ( 620, 925, 1020 ) all of them DevPreview. All of them have the wrong time zone for Moscow/Russia (old GMT+4). But since Oct 26 Russia changed the time zone to summer time (the last time) and now Moscow time is GMT+3 (I hope forewer).

Yes, I have changed the time manually. But when I keep the wrong time zone, time in the incoming SMS e.t.c is incorrect. So, I changed my timezone to some other place with GMT+3.

 

Recent Mexico time zone & DST changes

On the evening of October 28, 2022, the Mexican government published a decree that cancelled the DST changes for the entire country, and moved the time zone for certain regions.

The problem is that the decree took effect on October 30, at midnight.

Basically, the changes are:

• Mexico Central Time (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey) stays at UTC-6, but removes DST change from April, 2023
  
• Mexico Mountain Time (Chihuahua, Mazatlan, La Paz) stays at UTC-7, but removes DST change from April, 2023
  
  • Chihuahua moves to UTC-6, without DST (this applied Oct. 30)
    
• Some municipalities that border with the US will be using US time zones for now
  

Especially in Chihuahua, it's been a mess with calendars and airlines and everything.

Is Microsoft aware of this change? I looked at the DST Blog and there is no comment about it yet.

6300 - Changing Time Zone (GMT+1) Changes All Calendar Times

Changing the time zone always adjusts calendar entries because it assumes you have moved to the time zone concerned.



It's a while since I had a 6300 so I can't remember which way it manages summer time. If there is no specific setting for summertime or daylight saving time, then you would need to keep yourself on the correct zone (GMT) but change the time by one hour.
This will not affect your calendar in the same way as changing zone does.
