Is the virtual money real and can i take it out from the pop up ad msn homepage?

How do I stop the pop-up on MSN Money for 'practicing choosing stocks with virtual money? It appears every time I go to the MSN Money page. It is quite annoying.

If you are referring to IE, I suggest you to clear the cache and cookies and check if it helps.

To clear Cookies

• 
  Open IE, Go to Tools -> Internet options
  
• 
  Under Browsing History, Click
  Delete.
  
• 
  In the next pop-up window, Ensure Cookies check box is checked and click on Delete.
  

To clear Cache

• 
  Open IE, Press F12, then Ctrl + R
  

• 
  A pop-up "Are you sure you want to clear browser cache" pops up
  
• 
  Select Yes.

MSN Homepage appears at bootup

Hi,

For several days now I have had the MSN homepage pop up every time I boot up. It appears to be initiated by a call to open the page MSN . MSN is not my home page and I don't want to see it. How can I stop it opening? I haven't had any updates (due mainly to the fact that, currently, my computer is unable to receive them).

There is an old thread here which suggests an answer using Malwarebytes AdwCleaner. This and other efforts have been taken, but no luck.
