Windows 10: Is the XPS version of a particular Printer necessary?

Hi there. I recently installed a Dell B1260dn laser printer. When the driver was installed, it also installed an XPS version of the printer. Is it really necessary to keep it? It shows up this way in my printer choices:
B1260dn mono laser printer, and B1260 mono laser printer XPS. To make it clear: I am NOT talking about the Microsoft XPS document writer. I actually use that when I am not around a printer with my laptop. But what is the function of the XPS version of my printer itself? Can I safely remove it? What is the battery life of a Dell XPS 9360?

DELL would be best placed to give an approximate life span for the battery used by your machine, but

there is no fixed lifespan for a battery. The warranty period is the best approximate guess.

Lifespan would vary depending on how much you use the battery and how much load is on the machine when you

are running from the battery. How often you recharge the battery, as well as if you recharge before it drains completely,

or if you keep it charged enough to never go flat are also factors.

- Of course there is a potential that your particular battery is not as good as others provided by DELL,

so it could die or stop holding a charge prematurely. Or it may be better, and last longer than average.

My Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer has a XPS driver in addition to the normal driver. I do use the XPS driver since it claims to offer better quality quote "The XPS driver is a 16-bit driver whereas the other is 8 bit. The XPS driver can help in some situations to eliminate banding if that is a problem in some of your prints. Canon says that the XPS driver can even help improve printing from 8-bit images."

However, most people on the photo forum I consulted can't tell any difference in practical quality between the drivers.

In m case, using the XPS version of the driver made the printing of poorer quality. But that's ok. Again, thanks for the answer.
