Windows 10: Is there a backup program I could purchase simpler than Macrium

Hi,

I am somewhat IT challenged, and things that others on this forum say are simple often seem complicated to me. I have looked at the Macrium Free tutorials, and although it is great that it's free, I do not find it easy to understand. Is there a program that is well rated that I could purchase that has a more intuitive, easy-to-follow, simpler interface? One program that some say has an easy, intuitive interface is EaseUS. Is that a good program?

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect


In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.

1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination
   
   
   
4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
5. Boot up with your new HD.

 

Free hard drive backup/restore program?

I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

Macrium Reflect is a popular image backup program which will also do a folder and file backup, as will Acronis TrueImage and EaseUS ToDo Backup, among others. For a strictly folder and file backup there are too many good programs to list but Backup4All is a
good example. And for folder and file backups many people just use a file compression program like 7-zip or WinZip.
