Windows 10: Is there a command for 'Update Restart'

    Is there a command for 'Update Restart'


    I'm trying to auto patch/upgrade the the win10 1709 ( build version 16299) for hundreds of machines, it installed the KB4512509 which is 92GB and requires 'update restart'.


    I don't want to manually click the 'update restart ' button to complete the upgrading, I've tried the command 'shutdown \r' and 'shutdown \g', the system rebooted but won't complete the upgrading. is there any other way command for 'update restart' .

    Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile Is there a command for 'Update Restart' :)

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.


    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
