Windows 10: Is there a connectivity issue with the new Windows update [KB5029263]?

I've had to uninstall the update twice now, as every time it installs, when I log back into my computer I can no longer connect to my home Wi-Fi. I'm just curious if anyone else is struggling with the same issue with this update?

Update KB5029263 causes connectivity problems

After installing the KB5029263 update I am experiencing multiple connectivity issues. Both machines described below had the KB5029263 update installed and are on the same network.

* RDP to another machine on the same network frequently disconnects, with connections often lasting only a few seconds.

* When VPN (NordVPN in this case) is active on one machine the other machine cannot connect to it through RDP. It states that the other machine cannot be found. Both machines had the KB5029263 update installed. This was possible without issue before the update.

* The media application Plex can no longer reach any Plex servers on the network.

Uninstalling KB5029263 fixed all of these issues, but of course this is not a viable long term solution.

August 8, 2023—KB5029263 (OS Build 22621.2134)

However, there does not appear to be a similar issue recorded in the "Known Issues in this update" list.

So I'm going to give you a tool that you can use to hide updates:

Using this tool, you can temporarily hide this update to prevent the system from receiving the update push again and causing the problem to recur.

I have submitted this issue for you through internal channels. In addition, you can also submit this question through the Feedback Hub (if convenient, please provide as much detail as possible, including pictures, videos, etc.).

If your wireless router has a built in firewall maybe it's somehow set to block the ports that Windows updates use?

I'd also suggest if it works with it being directly connected then you could try resetting your router to see if this fixes the issue.
