Windows 10: is there a fix to the edid moving windows around issue that does not require a different...

so as the title says im wondering if there is a fix to the edid thing yet, im so tired of having all my windows and taskbar moved around because windows cant recognize that the same screen is still connected after returning from sleep mode. getting an edid cancelling thing is pretty much out of the question as i need the bandwidth to stay as high as possible. all the solutions that include editing the registry does nothing, and all i have seen support say in threads about this issue have been unhelpful **** allthough that may be because the threads usually lack information about edid being the culprit. so please, support if you read this dont ask me to "restart my computer" "do a clean install" "follow this guide on how to edit the registry". its unhelpful and infuriating, and i have asked with information about the exact thing that is causing the issue so you should be able to give a proper answer.

Need EDID override fix

Hi guys. Iv read about this everyware. The issue is that my TV does not have the proper/missing EDID values. So my GX2 displays every resolution INCLUDING native with horrible grain (VIA HDMI). Iv searched on how to fix it unfortunately Current drivers have changed to much for these "patches" to be of any use to me. So I figured Id throw up a thread here to see if you guys knew how to override / disable nvidias EDID enforcement.

 

Fuzzy Text - EDID Fix....Need Help

Computer: Zotac MAG HD-ND01, Nvidia ION Video.
Monitor: Westinghouse 32" 1080P TV.
Op System: Windows 7 64bit.

Problem: Fuzzy text when using HDMI @1920x1080P. Text sharp using VGA.

I know that the solution is to edit the registry to override the monitors HDID extensions to disable audio over HDMI.

I downloaded some tools like Phoenix EDID Designer, and Monitor Asset Manager but don't have a clue how to proceed.
