Windows 10: Is there a M.2 64GB SSD 22x30mm?

Hi, a friend of mine is having a lot of space problems with his laptop HP Stream 11", which has 32GB of internal memory (eMMC if I'm not wrong). I don't know what the hell are companies thinking when in 2016 they sell Windows 10 machines that only have 32GB, seriously.

Anyways, I opened the damned laptop (a hell of a headache to open), and I saw there was no HDD or SSD. The memory is probably soldered to the MoBo. So... the only piece of hardware that could be removed was the WiFi card, which was attached to an M.2 slot. Its dimensions are 22x30mm, and they barely fit there, so you can't replace that card with anything bigger than that. The problem is, all SSD's I've found are 22x42mm, and there's no way that can be plugged in the M.2 slot, it won't fit at all.

So I was looking for an M.2 SSD with dimensions 22x30mm which has a capacity of 64GB or more. I don't even know if such a thing exists (the M.2 is tiny and is supposed to think about these kind of scenarios, but I see it's a total fail). Also, I've read that not all M.2 slots are equal, some may not even recognize anything that it's not a WiFi card. Before buying an SSD, if exists, how can I know if that M.2 slot will recognize the SSD and the laptop will be able to use that SSD to install Windows?

Windows OS moved disk

The 64gb is an m.2, that is an ssd which is directly connected to the motherboard. And i removed the other ssd. Then it gave an error saying that windows OS is not found. Althoughh i once installed windows 10 pro on the 64gb ssd on my motherboard. I did'nt
had the other one back then.

I build my own pc last year and bought a m.2 ssd of 64gb for it. I installed windows on this disk. Half a year ago I got a 120gb ssd from a friend, I just took a sata cable and connected it to my pc. Now that I need this 120gb ssd, i wanted to take it out
of my pc. For some reason windows is now installed on that disk and removed from my 64gb m.2 disk.

How did this happen? And how can I take my 120gb ssd out of my pc?

 

I have an HP Stream Mini PC which uses this size of SSD.

I replaced the drive with a Transcend 128 GB M.2 SSD.

The box originally came with Windows 8. Before doing anything I used the HP backup tool to make a bootable USB flash drive to restore the system. I then installed the new SSD, did a full restore, and an upgrade to Windows 10.
