Is there a Microsoft Windows 11 home for evaluation testing purposes? For Virtualization and testing purposes.

windows 7 evaluation vm

Hi all

I've been using windows 7 90-day-evaluation virtualbox vm which used to be downloadable in https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/ for
my testing and learning purpose. I think it's after windows 7 support is over that the download became not available.

I notice Microsoft clearly stated that the evaluation vm could be snapshot before booting and reset as necessary, which sounds like I can continue to use it for my testing purpose, since some of security testing practice requires such old version software.
Is it actually okay?

Furthermore, is it legally okay if I copy it(.ova file) to my friends and let them use it (activate for themselves)?

 

The difference between the "For testing purposes only" and "Test Mode"

Test Mode is shown when test signing is enabled on a PC.
This is done by running bcdedit /set testsigning on from an UAC-elevated command prompt.

Test signing is used to allow developers to load drivers they are still working on that have not yet been code signed with an official certificate. This is one of the steps we need to do when loading test fixes.

For testing purposes only usually appears as a result of installing a fix during
the course of a Microsoft Support case.
The purpose of this message is to remind users that code that Microsoft Support
has asked them to test has been installed on the system,
