Windows 10: Is there a more up-to-date Bluetooth driver available from Microsoft since 2006?

Hi, I've been experiencing some audio/video synchronization issues when using Bluetooth ear buds with my laptop, so have been trying to update my drivers. I'm using an MSI model WE63 8SJ running Windows 11 Pro, version 22H2. I'm currently using N7 earbuds which are cheap but comfortable and produce great sound. However, I don't think this the reason for the out-of-sync problem.I was able to update the graphics driver to the latest version but when trying to update the Bluetooth driver, Windows states that the best driver is already installed. This driver, version 10.0.22621.2715, is dated

USB driver is dated 2006 - can that be right?

I've got lots of drivers from 2006 - and mysteriously, all dated 6/21/2006. How can that be?

"Bluetooth is not available on this device" after update

I have recently run an automatic Windows update (update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)) after which my Bluetooth has stopped functioning. I have tried the solutions suggested in previous discussions to no avail:

-- No Bluetooth listed on Network and Internet settings menu

-- Troubleshooter says "Device does not have Bluetooth"

-- Bluetooth and other devices menu visible, but no button to turn on Bluetooth; a message saying "Bluetooth is turned off" under every saved device

-- Driver update clients won't find Bluetooth-related drivers to update

-- Bluetooth Support Service enabled and running

-- Drivers listed in the Bluetooth folder in Device Manager: Device Identification Service; Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator; Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator; Qualcomm Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth 4.0. All appear as up-to-date when searching for updates. No
Generic Bluetooth Adapter in sight.

 

Dates set for Windows Vista releases

Microsoft has released a list of dates for all major releases of Windows Vista, including the release date next year:

-Beta 2: December 2nd 2005
-RC 0: April 19th 2006
-RC 1: June 28th 2006
-RTM (Release to Manufacturing, also known as "going gold"): August 6th 2006
-Release date: November 15th 2006

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft will make all these dates, but that would be a Microsoft first.
