  1. Is there a particular reason why some CPU types are not supported by Windows 11? i.e....

I have a device that has TPM 2.0, secure boot, plenty of ram and the i7-7600U processor has plenty of speed, but still the health check says the processor isn't supported. :-\Could it have anything to do with side-channel vulnerabilities in some CPUs' microcode, even at latest update levels? i.e. Spectre/Meltdown?I know there are ways to forcibly go ahead and install Windows 11 anyway on such machines, but I'm just wondering what the decision point/s is/are for allowing/excluding a given CPU type from support?I wouldn't expect Win11 to run on things like an old 80386, etc. and I know there

    :)

    Broadwell-E supported motherboards?

    All X99 supports Broadwell-E.

But not all motherboards will support it. Asrock is one of few that lists almost all v3 and v4 models listed under CPU compatibility.

    B3 Phenom support

I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
