Windows 10: Is there a possible way to sync local calendar events to my outlook live account?

Hi, I try to transfer my win10 calendar events from my old laptop to my new computer. I found this old thread, and 4 years from then. Live calendar event not visible in Outlook 2010 or WP8 calendar?

Thanks for the suggestion. I finally did manage to get this meeting to play along, but resending the meeting wasn't enough alone. What I had to do was:

• Delete all old instances and meeting requests pertaining to the event in question
• Obtain the original meeting request from the organizer
• Do NOT use Outlook 2010 to accept the request
• Instead, use my WP8 device to accept the request

This way the event was inserted correctly into Live calendar and synced to my phone & Outlook 2010. I also tried accepting the meeting request via Outlook 2010, but that caused weird problems with only some of the recurring events appearing and the time
was off by 1 hour.

 

Cannot sync Outlook calendar with the calendar of the Windows Live account

I have just bought a new HTC Titan running Windows Phone 7.5, and have been trying to move my Outlook calendar onto the HTC.



I have followed all the steps outlined in Article ID: 2459660 "Sync your Outlook calendar to Windows Phone." At the end of those steps, I have thus finished copying my Outlook calendar to the calendar of the Windows Live account, at least as it appears
in Outlook. I have the following problems:



1. Although the calendar of Windows Live account, as it appeared in Outlook, seemed to be complete, when I subsequently logged on to my Windows Live account via Internet Explorer, many calendar items (in fact, most of them) were missing. I then reopened
Outlook and re-examined the calendar of the Windows Live account, again it seemed complete. But when I relogged on to my Windows Live account via IE, again most calendar items were missing.



2. With my Outlook opened, when I edit, say, 20 items of my Outlook calendar, how do I sync those 20 newly edited items with the Windows Live account's calendar (other than obviously retyping). Article ID: 2459660 talks about the initial "copying" of the
calendar, but I don't know how to automate the syncing between the Outlook calendar and the Windows Live account's calendar.



Would really appreciate any help, as I want to stay on the Windows platform.

Calendar Sync Issue with Hotmail/Outlook

Hi dancing-peanut,

Fortunately (or unfortunately), this is working as designed. The calendars will automatically show up along with your contacts and email, and your phone will sync the following events (these settings can't be changed):

• Two weeks of past single-instance (non-recurring) events.
• All future single-instance events.
• All recurring events that have occurrences within the last two weeks or anytime in the future.

The task list on your phone will automatically sync with your Microsoft account or Outlook task list, depending on which account you use to create tasks.
