    Is there a recommended approach or a best practice for managing Windows updates in a business environment to minimize disruptions while ensuring system security? I'm interested in learning about strategies or tools that effectively balance the need for timely updates with the necessity of maintaining a stable and uninterrupted workflow. Any insights or experiences shared regarding deploying and managing Windows updates within a corporate setting would be greatly appreciated

    Best approach to install recommended update drivers on Windows 10?

    The computer has Windows 10 Home and ESET EndPoint Security installed.

    ESET has reported updates are available for the computer, including Critical, Recommended and Optional.

    The recommended updates are hardware drivers and they're not being updated by Windows Update, as I've noticed they're still in the list of recommended updates reported by ESET from over a month ago.

    Is there a way to install the recommended hardware driver updates via Windows 10 Home Update? And would that install a Microsoft version of the driver or the vendor's version of the driver?

    Or is it better to install updated hardware drivers one by one through Device Manager? And manually download from the vendor website?

    Vista Pre-SP1 vs. Vista SP1

    I've been Windows Updating for two straight days and I finally saw SP1. If you want to troubleshoot it, follow these steps:

    • Show hidden updates
    • Manually install any failed updates (google the KB_____ and install from the windows site)
    • Make sure everything in Device Manager is good to go
    I had to do step two for like 4 or 5 updates to be able to see SP1.

    Any other benchmarks you guys want to see? I might try PCMark05 (I think it works on Vista).

    Windows Update Manager not updating

    Available updates:
    · 2021-03 Cumulative Update for Win 10 ver. 20H2 (K8500080) Status: Down loading – 0 %
    · 2021-01 Update for Windows 10 ver. 20H2 (KB4023057) Statue: Pending install

    If you were in this situation, what would you do to get the Update Manager to make these updates?
    • There is 43.8 GB available disk space.
    • Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool completed successfully
    • Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
    What do you think is the cause of the problem?
    What steps should be taken to solve the problem?
