Windows 10: is there a security issue using windows as a user name with no login password. thanks

I don’t know if this is an odd question but a friend of my parents setup a new computer for my dad but instead of using my dad’s name for the user he used windows as the user name. I can’t boot to the windows in safe mode and my dad never had a recovery disk and I’m getting S.M.A.R.T error message. My question is there a problem setting up the user name as windows because I have never seen this before. When the windows was running fine it login automatically and no screen saver password.I tried searching the internet if anyone else had an issue with this I could find anything on this.Are

No login password craziness

Brink, that was the missing step. What threw me off was in netplwiz, where it asks about password for my MS account, the user name was not the same as my MS account name. Once I entered the password (twice) I can now login without entering a password. In fact the name that was listed was not the MS account name, but a folder name. The folder is the one that shows when you click on C:\Users.

• First, open netplwiz, then uncheck the box for Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
• Then, on the pop-up window, click Cancel.
• Make sure the box for Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer should be checked again.
• Lastly, click OK.

These will help us to eliminate ghost login.

If you are trying to remove the login password, I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Press windows key + R to open command prompt, and type "netplwiz"
• Uncheck "user must enter user name and password to use this computer", then click "ok"
• Enter your user name and password, then click "ok"
• Restart your computer.

I would like to inform you that it is recommended to activate the password for security reasons.
