Windows 10: Is there a way for me to connect to wifi before logging on to my user?

Since I switched some parts my pc has been asking for me to make a new pin by signing in with my microsoft user. The problem here is that I need wifi to do this, but cant connect to the wifi without looging on. I have tried a couple of things like different command prompt methods, logging on via safe mode without internet, refreshing my computer and so on.

The authentication failed error that you encounter when connecting to a local WiFi can be related to a change on the device firmware caused by the recent update. As an initial step to fix your concern, we suggest that you reset the connection by following
these steps:

• Click the Start menu

• Select settings
  
  
  .
• Select Network & Internet.
• Click on WiFi and select Manage known networks.
• Under the list of networks, select the affected WiFi connection.
• Select Forget.

Once you're done, reconnect to the WiFi and check if the issue persist.

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

 

Assigning a default WiFi connection

Is there any specific way to force Windows to connect to a certain WiFi connection?

Since my PC keeps connecting to a commercial WiFi hotspot rather than to my home network when it boots.

Things I have tried:

• "Connect to suggested WiFi hotspots" has been turned off
• Home network has been set to "connect automatically" when connecting
  
• Hotspot networks have been "forgotten" in the WiFi settings

Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem?
