  1. Is there a way I can reset my Windows 10 to a previous date without a restore point

I lost files, images and anatomy drawings yesterday and Im kinda going through some grief over my files. I restored some images but its now thousands of unorganized pictures and my clip studio files didnt restore to their original file type and are now xml documents so my drawings are gone. Might cry myself to sleep tonight. Any bit of advice or information is appreciated.

    restoring computer to previous date

    Hi Thy3,

This is Wil, one of the independent advisor, an expert with Windows 10 and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I understand your concern about restoring the computer to the previous date.

How to delete inactive System Image Restore Points in System Restore

    Windows 10 64-bit.
When I click "show more restore points" in System Restore I see a bunch of old "system image restore points" that were deleted in past and do not correspond to any currently active restore points. Clicking any of these old restore points, I simply get an error message saying they could not be found, and to select another restore point instead.I would like to delete these restore points listings but have been unable to do so.
So far, I have tried steps mentioned below without any luck :

Disk Cleanup through (CIs there a way I can reset my Windows 10 to a previous date without a restore point :) Properties
Disable System Protection (OFF and ON) in System Protection for OS (CIs there a way I can reset my Windows 10 to a previous date without a restore point :)
Disk Space Usage to minimum (slider button all the way to the left then 'Delete all restore points for this drive'),
Delete all shown Restore points in CCleaner (the problem ones do not show here),
Reset Windows Backup to Default in Windows 10 with 'Reset_Windows_Backup.bat' utility.

    Any suggestions highly welcome.

  4. Is there a way I can reset my Windows 10 to a previous date without a restore point

How can I restore to a previous date?

Hi BrendaBoisvert, My name is Jeremy, a Windows Independent Adviser. I'll be happy to help you out today. Let’s see what I can do.

In the case that you still have access to the desktop, you can revert system changes using a restore point with these steps:

Here's a quick way to restore to a saved previous date from System Restore

    1. Open Start.

    2. Search for Create a restore point, and click the top result to open the System Properties experience.

    3. Click the System Restore button.

    4. Click the Next button

    5. Select the restore point that you want to use on your computer.

    6. Click the Scan for affected programs button to understand the apps that will no longer be available because they're added after the creation of the restore point.

    7. Click the Close button.

    8. Click the Next button.

    9. Click the Finish button.

If you want more info ( with screenshots), please refer to the link below

Let me know how it goes

    Kind regards,
