Windows 10: Is there a way I can revert from XP back to Windows 7 and rescue all my lost documents?

Whilst working on my computer I experienced a power blackout that lasted for a few hours. I have power surge protectors so wasn’t too concerned. I have a Windows 7 operating system. When the power came back on there was an error message with two choices I still can’t recall what those were. It seems I selected the wrong choice because the computer has reverted to my old Windows XP and all my photos, family tree information, updated/new programs are not on the computer.My internet no longer works because it was dial-up back when I used XP and I have, since installing Windows 7, been using Wif

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Lost Word documents

Firs check your recycle bin folder probably you can find your lost file there. If not found there then try another way of searching your lost documents file by their name in the search box.

Still not found, then apply these manual steps: Open MS Word > click the File Tab > Click Manage Document >select Recover Unsaved Documents from the drop-down
list > Check for your missing file in the dialog box >Open the recovered Word document > click the Save As button in the top banner.

Probably you will find your lost documents on this list.

Finally if not shows there then try the last alternative option i.e. third party free data recovery programs like Recuva, stellar data recovery free edition, recoverit, etc. These utility programs completely free and can help you to recover your lost
