Windows 10: is there a way i can switch the email used with my pc;'s account to log into microsoft apps...

Ive been having an issue, i set my computer up with my ill call this email1 main email not the one i have connected to my main Microsoft account this would be email2. Thus i cant use any microsoft apps that i previously owned. When i click the "sign in" button on apps like the Microsoft Store, it just dissapears after being visible for less than half a second. i cant log into any account that isnt the one connected to my pc. I even tried swapping the emails connecting email 1's microsoft account with email2's, but my pc just showed email2 instead which is now connected to the wrong mic

Just simply log in with your Microsoft Account.
Switch to Microsoft Account in Windows 10

Just go back to using a local account:

Also may I suggest you change email accounts to one of the following.....

Gmail
Outlook

The reason is they both use "Step two verification". This style of verification means even if a hacker gets your password they cannot log in to your account. You see every time someone try's to log in that hasn't been verified you will get a text or a phone call giving you a final code to log in. Its very easy and simple to setup also. The great thing is once you setup your Email application with a specific "application password" from that account you never have to log in again AND your account is protected from being logged in from foreign entities.

I like the new outlook personally however Gmail is also damn good. Gmail also has an IP tracker that allows you to see WHERE the account has been logged in from. Anyway let us know if you wanna change over and have any questions. We will be happy to help and welcome to TPU!

 

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address.
