    when opening file explorer it goes to the HomeFavorites are shownRecently used files are show below that.There is no way to alphabetize the favorites as the right click menu has sort by grayed out.

    Hi Joan,

    If you're looking for a way to sort the favorites in alphabetical order in the File Explorer, then you can right click on an empty space in the Favorites folder and select 'Sort by name' option.

    Favourites Folders -alphabetical sorting within each Folder

    Let me provide you now the steps on how to to sort your folders in alphabetical order.

    This method will allow you to arrange your favorites by alphabetical or by their numbers.

    Here are the steps:

    • Open Internet Explorer.
    • Click on Favorites.
    • Right-click on Favorites Bar.
    • Right-click on the Favorites folder.
    • Click on Sort by, then select Name and
      Ascending      .
