Is there a way to change default channels configuration in audio devices?

When I click configure button, I can choose between stereo and 5.1 options. I want to use it in stereo. But it always resets to 5.1 after reboot, so I have to open this menu after every reboot. Is there a way to save it permanently to stereo, or to change the defaults, or to automate changing this setting?I use SoundBlaster Z sound card, it doesn't have any related settings in its software.

    :)

  2. How To Change The Default For Audio Channels (tracks) in The Default Video Viewer (Films&TV)

What I'm asking basically is how can I change the default audio channel opened in the Film & TV app from Windows 10.

(I might interchange CHANNEL and TRACK for my questions, but if I have greatly misunderstood the terms I utilise, please let me know, but it's not the main part of my question)

I record gameplay from ShadowPlay_from Nvidia_ and I chose to setup the recording of video/audio file with ONE video file and TWO different audio tracks or channels for the "system sounds" (which is the first channel) and my "microphone" input ONLY (which is
the second channel). (its easier for editing) But whenever I decide to playback any video files recorded with these settings, the default CHANNEL or TRACK is my microphone's it doesn't PLAY the video with the "system sounds" audio.

Is there any way to change the behaviour of the Films & Tv app to open my video files in a way that the FIRST audio selected is the "system sounds" recorded and not my "microphone".

  3. Voice chat audio no longer comes through Default communication device (mic works fine)

    Hi Samuel,

A factor why you're voice chat sounds goes through your speakers as well is due to configuration settings. We suggest that you configure playback devices. Follow the steps below:

    • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound >
      Sound
      .
    • Left-click on Speakers > Click on Set as Default Device.
    • Left-click on Headphones > Select Set as Default Communication Device.
    • Click OK.

If the issue still occurs, contact your device manufacturer's support for assistance on configuring your device.

Let us know what happens after following the suggested troubleshooting steps.

  4. Is there a way to change default channels configuration in audio devices?

Set new audio device default for volume mixer in Windows 10

    I use two audio devices:

    • Default (audio) device "Realtec Digital Output (Optical)"
    • Default communication device "Lautsprecher (Speaker)"

    My goal:
I want to have the default audio volume on my default communication device, instead of the default device - at all times.

    What I tried so far:
Changing the volume mixer to my communication device explicitly works temporary, but as soon as I close the settings window, the default audio volume is reset again to the default audio device.

Step 1: Clicking on volume shows me the default device:

Step 2: Changing the volume mixer to my communication device manually:
