  1. Is there a way to change mic levels from regedit in Windows 10?

    Hi there,

I have been using my earphone's in-line mic for meetings but there seems to be a problem. When I use control panel or Realtek Control Panel to change mic levels from 100% 0dB to 50% 10dB or any other levels, it resets shortly after to 100% but the gain remains the same. So I was thinking if there is a way to change the values from registry once and for all. Or any other other suggestions to change the levels and keep them preserved are most welcome.

P.S. The option to allow applications to take exclusive control of this device has been disabled but the problem still persists. I don't use Skype because many people suggest it is Skype interfering with device settings.

    :)

  2. Mic sound levels raises automatically

Since a couple of days my microphones sound levels keep resetting by itself to 100 every time I open a application that uses the mic, like skype for example.

What I mean by levels: the option you find when you go to recording devices and double click the mic on the list, then go to tab levels.

Just to be sure I did a complete reset of my pc, fresh clean install.

I have a samson meteor usb mic.

I have windows 10 with all the latest updates installed.

    USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.
