    Is there a way to check if my windows 10 key is legit BEFORE using it?


    So, I've never activated a windows key on a desktop PC since it's the first time I'm building it, someone gave me a key for free but I'm not so sure if I should use so my question is, can o are if the key is not in use or of it's legal before using it? Also, if I can't, what happens on the activation screen if I activate it but it's already in use? Does it just say already in use and keeps the screen or does it automatically activate the free version? and last, can I get in trouble for using it since I don't know how the person really got it and if it's legit?

    Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

    Im looking for a legit "Windows Vista Home Premium 32Bit" key.

    I already have the installation disc so all I need is an actual active key that could be sent via email or PM.
