Windows 10: Is there a way to completely regenerate Windows Defender?

What I'm running into is a lack of faith in the ability of Windows Defender to protect my PC. It has not reported ANY threats since sometime in early 2020, which it is now July 2021. I suspect something has either by intention or design messed with it's ability to correctly identify which files are infected. I can run all the quick and full scans I want but they jump to the conclusion after a few minutes <1 Minute on Quick. <2 Minute on Full. More recently, I found that the Core Isolation Protocol for my PC was turned off, and noticed that after re-enabling it, and removing search excl

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows Defender not completing scans

I would suggest you to go through the below methods:

Method 1: Set Windows Defender to Automatic

You can set the Windows Defender service to Automatic, Disabled or Manual. Setting it to automatic might solve the problem. Follow these steps:

  Click Start > type services in the Search box > click Services in the Programs list.
  
  2. Search for Windows defender.
  
  3. Double-click Windows Defender, and click Automatic in the start-up box > click OK.

Method 2: Run SFC scan, it will check, if there is any kind of corruption on the operating system.

Feature Request: Synchronization of Outlook Regenerating Tasks

Add me to the list of people having this issue. I think part of the problem is there doesn't seem to be a way to specify a regenerating task on the mobile device. At least I could not find a way.
