Windows 10: Is there a way to debug high cpu

When you do not know what is causing it, and it is also random? Is there a tool or maybe I can script something that will watch all processes then start to debug one if it hits a certain threshold? Trying to figure out what is causing y cpu to tax out.

Hello I am looking for a tool to debug high CPU that will identify which process is causing the problem? procdump requires you to know what process is causing it. I have no idea. I want something that will identify what and debug it. Is there a tool as such?

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Open Task Manager, then select the Processes Tab.

Click the CPU column header so the arrow on that column header points down, can you then see what processes is using the high CPU?

 

Windows 10 Display Blinking with High CPU

After upgrade to Windows 10, experiencing flashing display and high CPU.

• At initial logon screen everything is normal - wall paper and logon screen display with no blinking
• After logon, fan starts as CPU usage spikes, cursor is accompanied by the spinning blue circle
• touchscreen does not respond to swipe to access Recovery/Safe mode for reboot
• able to get to Task Manager and Perfmon to see high CPU usage and explorer.exe is suspended

looking for suggestions on how to either fix or roll back to Windows 8.1
