  2. Disabling laptop keyboard

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    As per the description. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

    I suggest you follow the steps below and check if that helps:

    • Press Windows + X and select
      Device Manager
      from the list.
    • Find Keyboards in the list of devices and click the arrow to expand it.
    • Right-click on the internal keyboard and click Disable. If there is no Disable option listed, click
      Uninstall.
    • Click File>Exit. Your laptop’s internal keyboard should now be disabled.
    Note: If you had to choose Uninstall instead of Disable in step 4, the keyboard will be automatically detected and re-installed if you ever have the Device Manager scan for new hardware for some reason. If that happens you’ll need to repeat this procedure
    in order to uninstall it again.

    I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    I suggest you to try the methods given below and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Follow these steps to run Power troubleshooter:

    • Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
    • Select Troubleshooting.
    • Select View all on the top left corner.
    • Click on Power.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    6. Check if issue persists.

    Method 2: I suggest you to the below steps to change the settings for keyboard and check if it helps.

    • Press “windows+X” and go to “control panel”.
    • Click on “device and printers”.
    • Right click on the “Bluetooth keyboard” and click on “properties”.
    • Under “hardware tab” click on the keyboard device and go to “properties”.
    • Then under “general” tab click on “change settings”.
    • Click on “power management” tab and uncheck the box “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
    • Then click on “ok” and restart the computer, check if the issue persist or not.

    Hello.

    Does disabling the HID-Complaint Touch Screen driver resolves the issue? If yes, we suggest that you disable it and see if your device go into Sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

    We also suggest to check if the settings of the Power Options of your device are set so that the device will go into Sleep mode after a period of time. You may follow the steps below to check is Sleep mode is enabled on your device:

    • Press the Windows button + X, then click on
      Power Options.
    • Click Change when the computer
      sleeps.
    • Change the settings to your preferred settings.
