Windows 10: Is there a way to edit my download speed value inside windows 10?

I know there are third party programs that do what I would like to do but I'd rather do it through Windows settings if it's available there.



My internet speed is average (30-35 Mb/s) and whenever I download something, my whole network is jammed and can't be used for anything else. I noticed Task Manager says whatever app's using all my bandwidth is using a mere 4% of it.



What I was wondering is if there was a way to modify whatever value Windows 10 has by default for my download speed so that the app using most of my bandwidth could be throttled.



From what I understand, Windows is allowing apps to use up all my bandwidth because it thinks it's only using 5% of it when in reality it's taking everything and then it makes my network unusable.

Microsoft store download speeds and windows 10 app load speeds are very slow

• The latest update I have showing is "2018-02 Cumulative update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64 based system KB4074588"

Windows 10 download speed issues

Try this method:

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.
