    Is there a way to find all files that have the same name but are contained in different...


    The files in question are audio files that I've downloaded and put into separate folders, but some of these have identical names so, after relocating drives, my audio software can't distinguish between both. I need to emphasize that these files are not duplicates.

    What is the Container folder and why is it missing?

    They have 5 steps listed? Can you not get the files they mention in step 5? I can't tell if Containers is the name of a Windows file or just an internal reference or what.

    Compare a text file containing file names with files in a folder

    Hi,
    I have a text files containing a list of file names and I wish to compare that to a folder with files in it.
    The folder contains a rather large number of files and I want to see if files in that folder exist in the file with the list of file names.

    Hope I have explained my problem clearly.

    Would appreciate any help

    Text Files Register 0 Bytes even with 90K Characters, Cannot E-mail

    Sometimes it's as simple of clicking the Name at the top of the column in Details view then click it again to get the list refreshed. Also usually works to close and open File Explorer and navigate to the folder that contains the file. Keep in mind that a folder cannot contain 2 files of the exact same name, one has to be at least one character different. And possible to open a file in the program used to create it, see if there's actually anything in it. Also possible to open that program then File, Open and see it's listed.
