Basically the title. I have never had good experiences with using multiple monitors in Windows, but I though Windows 11 was the exception; that was, until I hooked up my TV to my multi monitor setup. I have 2 monitors and a TV all of different sizes and resolutions, but same aspect ratio, so I understand I'm not really helping myself here but it's a feature that was supposedly fixed in Windows 11 so I'd like for it to just work after the first time I configure it.Down to the real issue. I turn on my computer without turning on my TV sometimes It's an older W-OLED so if I'm not using it, I'd l

Second monitor not displaying, but still treated as main monitor

I had an HD TV set up as a second monitor for my HP laptop running Win10. The display was configured to have my TV be the primary monitor. Since then, I've had to unplug the TV from my laptop (or the other way around) so that I may take my laptop out of
the house. While attempting to set up the display again with the TV, upon connecting the HDMI, the TV stays black, but is still being treated as my primary monitor, and any applications I open are opening on the TV... but it's still a black screen. Is there
a way to make application windows open on my black-screened TV? Is there a way to reset the default extended display settings while my TV isn't connected to my laptop?

  3. No display on monitor when TV set as primary display

    Issue solved

Removed DVI/HDMI cable from computer and monitor

Step 1: Check if the VGA monitor cable is defective.

    1. Turn off computer
    2. Connect the monitor VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the computer
    3. Turn on computer, VGA monitor cable is good.

      Step 2: Tun off computer
    1. Connect HDMI Cable to HDMI port and TV
    2. Turn on computer and TV, there is no monitor black screen
    3. Click on the Windows logo, select the Settings icon , and then select

System. Under Display there are two squares, labeled 1 and 2

D Click on Advanced Display Settings:

Display information: Display 1- Monitor Display 2 -TV

E Right-click the Speakers icon in
the taskbar, select Sound, click on Playback devices,

a s tv screen with my brand shows
AMD High Definition Audio Device ready.

      F. Problem solved

Cause of the problem: Defective VGA port on the Syba VGA HD15+ 3.5 Audio to HDMI converter

Windows 11 Projecting to TV Screen

I have downloaded windows 11 and having issues projecting my laptop to a Smart TV. I go through the steps to add the device and am able to project my laptop screen at that time. The issue begins when I want to do it the next time. The only way that I can get it to work, is to remove the device (TV) from my list of devices then re-add it every time I want to project to the TV. There has to be a better way to do this but it is all that has worked for me.
