Windows 10: Is there a way to get windows to properly display 1:1 on a low-dpi but high resolution 48"...

I use my Win10x64 desktop for CAD and I've found that, with other operating systems, I can easily get my CAD programs to display 1:1 when the DPI is set correctly.Unfortunately, windows only seems to support a lower limit of 96 dpi. My display is 45 dpi. My display at my office is also quite large, and only 70dpi. Resultantly, none of my word processing software, CAD software or other dimensional references have any grounding in reality.Is there a way to correct this that doesn't involve applying a multiplier in each and every program I use where 1:1 layout for previewing or quick measurements

unable to Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings

I am experiencing blurry text on a high DPI screen in apps such as MS Word 15. The previous solution was to Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings using the Compatibility Tab in the program's
Properties dialogue. However, the Compatibility Tab no longer appears in my current version of Windows (Windows 10 Home build 17763).

Does anyone know

1) Whether there is a way to Disable Display Scaling On High DPI Settings in the current build of Windows 10?

2) Whether there is a way to restore the Compatibility Tab in the application properties dialogue?

 

Screen smaller and resolution

As you are facing issues with the screen resolution, I would suggest you to change the display settings.

Method 1: Change screen resolution

1. Open Start, select Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings.
   
2. Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked “(Recommended) ”

Issues with high DPI in Windows 10

Please be informed, in order to provide an optimal experience on high-DPI displays, desktop applications have to detect the DPI of the display that is being used and then scale their graphical elements, text, and screen layout appropriately.

To be able to assist you better, let us know a few more details on the following questions.

• What happens when you try to change the display resolution? Do you receive any particular error message/notification under such circumstances?
• Which 'Settings panel' are you referring to? Are you referring to Control Panel?
• Did you check reinstalling the driver helps to resolve the issue?

Now, the optimal display resolution for the make and model of you laptop is 3200 X 1800 (qHD). So before troubleshooting any further, I suggest you to check if setting a custom DPI Scaling Level for All Displays helps in this case. Follow the steps outlined
below.

1. Open the Control Panel and click on the
Display icon.

2. Under Change size of items, click on the
set a custom scaling level link.

3. Drag the ruler left or right to the scaling percentage you want, or you can select the scaling percentage you want in the drop down menu.

If it still does not help, I suggest you to visit to the below link and check if it helps to adjust the display in Windows.
