Clicking on MP3 file opens associated program with a different mp3

    Hi all
I'm running Windows 10.0.18362 Build 18362 on an ASUS Zenbook Model UX430UAR 16 gb
I've associated Transcribe by Seventh String software with mp3 files however clicking on any mp3 file in explorer always opens the program with the first mp3 I originally opened many months ago.
I've tried undoing and redoing the mp3 to program association many times and it doesn't help.
The only way I can open the mp3 I want to play is to use the program's file open dialog and find it again in the open dialog.
    Any ideas?

    Change Sounds

Step 1 - Download the sounds you wish to hear to a folder on your hard drive. I suggest creating a sub-folder under music.

Step 2- Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your screen and choose Sounds.

Step 3- Select a Program Event for which you wish to assign a sound.

Step 4 - Use the Browse button to browse to the folder you created.

Step 5 - Choose a sound for the Program Event.

How can i use mp3 file as ringtone in my wp7

Once you upgrade to the soon-to-be-released Windows Phone Mango, you will be able to use a MP3 file, as long is it meets this criteria:

    • 39 seconds or shorter
    • smaller than 1 megabyte (MB)
    • saved in MP3 or WMA format
    • not copy-protected (i.e. DRM free)
If your file is longer, I'd suggest using Audacity, a free app, to shorten your MP3 and/or reduce the size. Here's an article titled

    Ringing in Mango
by Alice Luu found in the Windows Phone Blog. It contains some good detailed information with step-by-step instructions.

    I hope this helps!
