    Is there a way to keep a webcam recording on Windows 10 when the screen is locked?


    I'm trying to set up a security camera system for when I'm away, but I keep running into the problem that my camera stops recording as soon as the screen is locked. I tried Google, but the results were either for Windows 8 or some old version of Win10.

    I know that there are so many ways to record screen on pc. windows 10 has a feature to record screen without installing any sofrware. But I want to know what is the best way? any suggestions or methods? BTW, I want to record the actions when I am making
    a video tutorial about how to make a powerpoint.

    The webcam's functionality may be affected by the settings of the application you're using. The webcam's settings and the application settings can collide. We'd like to ask a few questions to help us identify why there's no video output:

    • What applications are you using with the webcam?
    • To avoid repetition, can you provide us all the troubleshooting steps that you've done so far?
    • Are you getting any error messages or return codes when using the webcam?
