Windows 10: Is there a way to list files in a folder in a specific order?

I have several thousand folders containing PDF files. By default the files are listed like this:file-afile-a_Xfile-bfile-b_Xfile-cfile-c_XIs there a process or an app I can use to change their order so they are listed first with all the files with no "X", then all the "X" files as such:file-afile-bfile-cfile-a_Xfile-b_Xfile-c_XI need one other adjustment made, if possible. In the end, I need each of my folders to have the files listed in an order that is not alphabetical: file-bfile-cfile-afile-b_Xfile-c_Xfile-a_XThank you so much for sharing any ideas you may have.

Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

When File Explorer opens a folder, it sorts all folders and files inside in an order according to the settings of that folder. How to get the list of all folders and files (or at least of files only) sorted in the same order? Not meaning just to look the list in the interface of File Explorer, it is an evident way. Meaning to get the list for further processing. For example, to a text file.

Carlos: Thanks for your reply. What you suggest is what I have been doing. I search for folders with a specific name and get a list. Then I have to search each folder for a specific file. So it's a two step search and that's what I was trying to avoid.

I assume there are applications out there that allow for an "AND" search in Windows. I'll try that approach.
